Our Story
The story of iTransport begins in 2016, with the creation of a transport company under what would later become Chinar Group in Azerbaijan. From day one, our goal was clear: to take guests, tourists and corporate clients to their destination safely, on time and with respect.
In the early stages, our work focused mainly on airport–hotel transfers, point-to-point city rides with a driver, and meet & greet and farewell services for guests of travel agencies.
Very quickly we realised that the person behind the wheel is not "just a driver". In the eyes of a guest, this is often the first face of the company and the country. That is why we started building a model around driver standards, dress code and appearance, communication style, and attitude towards every passenger.
For us, "transport service" was never only about the road – it was about image and trust.
As demand increased, the scale of our operations expanded: more group tours, more events and conferences, more VIP guests and official delegations required coordinated logistics and strong operational control. It became obvious that we could not manage everything with only phone calls, chats and spreadsheets.
This is where the idea of iTransport and the itransport.az platform was born. We wanted to make order management more transparent, allocate vehicles and drivers more efficiently, and provide partners with a faster, clearer and more professional way to communicate with us.
Today, iTransport is the dedicated transport and mobility brand within Chinar Group, responsible for airport transfers, city and intercity rides, transport for corporate events and MICE, and organising the transport part of tour programs.
For us, iTransport means both the real service on the road and the digital brain that makes that service organised, visible and reliable.
Timeline
The Beginning
Launch of the first transport operations in Azerbaijan, focused on airport transfers and city rides. Early partnerships established with travel agencies and corporate clients. Core principles: safety, punctuality and respect for guests.
Growth in Tourism & B2B
Expansion of services for group tours, corporate events and official delegations. The driver team grows, shift planning becomes more structured, and service expectations rise.
Standardisation
Introduction of clear standards for drivers (appearance, behaviour, communication). Processes with tourism and corporate partners become more formalised and documented.
iTransport Brand
Transport services are unified under the iTransport brand. The itransport.az platform is created to provide a more transparent, trackable and partner-friendly way of managing bookings.
Digital Mindset
iTransport continues to develop as the transport arm of Chinar Group, combining real-world operations with a growing digital infrastructure.

Our Story
The story of JoinAiTrip starts with Chinar Group's real-world operations in tourism and transport. After working with dozens of tour programs, hundreds of guests and countless routes, one thing became clear: the market no longer wants only static tour packages in PDF form. People are looking for more flexibility, more transparency in their choices, and personalised travel experiences that match their budget and style.
This raised a key question: "If we are already managing so much data – hotels, transfers, tour itineraries, prices, seasons – in the offline world, why not bring it all together into one system powered by artificial intelligence?"
From that question, JoinAiTrip was born. The goal was not to create just another tour-selling website, but to build a smart platform that can plan, recommend and manage travel with the help of AI.
JoinAiTrip is built on three main pillars: Chinar Group's operational experience (transport, tours, guest flows and on-the-ground logistics), Artificial intelligence and digital technology (optimising routes, generating personalised suggestions, creating dynamic packages), and Content and media (using inspiring travel storytelling, especially through the Airen brand, to attract and engage audiences).
Through JoinAiTrip, travellers and partners can use AI assistance to plan routes, compare hotels and services more easily, and build smarter, more relevant travel packages.
For us, JoinAiTrip is not just a "travel website", but a platform that makes travel decisions smarter with the help of AI.
Timeline
Operational Foundation
Chinar Group operates as a traditional tour and transport provider: organising tours, transfers, hotel arrangements and guest logistics. Most processes are manual and based on classic tour operator models.
Digital Rethinking
It becomes clear that a large part of these operations can be digitalised and enhanced through automation. The accumulated data on routes, prices, seasons and travel products is seen as a foundation for a future AI-driven system.
Birth of JoinAiTrip
The JoinAiTrip brand concept is created under the idea "Your journey begins with AI" – a platform designed to bring together planning, content and booking in one place.
Building the Platform
JoinAiTrip is positioned as the digital centre of the Chinar Group ecosystem: iTransport covers transport, Chinar Academy supports people and service culture, and Airen drives content and media visibility.
The Road Ahead
JoinAiTrip is in an active development and rollout phase with selected markets and partners, aiming to become a strong AI-first travel brand.
Chinar Academy
A School for Tourism & Hospitality
Chinar Academy is the education and professional training centre of Chinar Group built on real experience in tourism, transport and hospitality. We train not only drivers, guides, tour coordinators and office staff, but also full hotel teams: reception, reservation, F&B (restaurant and service), housekeeping, sales and management. Our aim is to supply the market with people who are truly ready to work in hotels and tourism – both in Azerbaijan and internationally.

Our Story
The story of Chinar Academy grows out of Chinar Group's daily work: organising tours, transfers, hotel stays and guest experience. Over time, one thing became very clear: transport and tour programs are crucial, but the hotel team and onsite service quality often define how a guest remembers the entire trip.
Working closely with drivers, guides and tour coordinators, hotel reception and reservation teams, F&B and restaurant staff, housekeeping, sales and management, we saw a consistent gap: the infrastructure and demand exist, but there is not always enough structured, well-trained talent at every stage of the service chain.
Our first response was to build robust internal training inside Chinar Group: service, safety and communication standards for drivers and tour coordinators; check-in/check-out procedures, complaint handling and guest communication for reception and reservation; service etiquette, table setup, menu knowledge and guest care for F&B staff; room standards, cleaning protocols and guest privacy for housekeeping teams; commercial thinking, revenue orientation and leadership basics for sales and management roles.
The impact was tangible: guest satisfaction increased, partner hotels and agencies trusted us more, and operations became smoother. That led to a natural question: "If this system works so well internally, why not turn it into an academy for the whole market?"
This is how Chinar Academy evolved into a standalone education brand.
Today, Chinar Academy acts as an entry point for young people who want to start a career in tourism and hospitality, provides upskilling and specialised programs for people already working in the sector, and serves as a training partner for hotels and tourism companies.
In parallel, Chinar Academy also develops study-abroad and hospitality education pathways, and guidance on scholarships and long-term international career opportunities.
For us, Chinar Academy is not just a course provider, but a talent bridge between the tourism/hospitality industry and the real job market.

Internal Trainings
Chinar Group runs regular internal trainings for drivers, tour coordinators and office staff. Key focus: service standards, safety, guest communication and operational discipline.
Hospitality Layer Added
As collaboration with hotels grows, training topics expand to include reception, reservation, F&B and guest experience. Internal content is structured into modular training programs.
Official Launch
Training activities are positioned under the separate brand Chinar Academy, with a mission to train talent not only for Chinar Group but also for hotels, agencies and partners in the wider market.
