Chinar Group's journey began in 2016 with a simple but ambitious goal: to build a reliable, service-focused transport company in Azerbaijan. What started with airport transfers and city rides soon grew into a broader operation serving tourists, corporate clients and international partners. Over the years, this initial transport business evolved step by step into Chinar Group of Companies – an integrated ecosystem that now includes iTransport, Chinar Academy, JoinAiTrip and Airen.
From a Single Transport Company to Chinar Group
The story of Chinar Group begins in 2016, when we started as a small but determined transport company in Azerbaijan. At that time, the focus was very clear: provide reliable, on-time and respectful service for guests, tourists and corporate clients.
In the early years, most of our work was around airport transfers, point-to-point city rides, and transport support for travel agencies and groups.
Very quickly, we realised that our role was not just to move people from one place to another – we were representing our partners' brands and our country in front of every guest. That mindset shaped the culture of the company: discipline, hospitality and long-term relationships.
As demand grew, the business naturally expanded beyond day-to-day transfers. We began to organise transport for group tours, corporate events and delegations, and international visitors coming for business and leisure.
Step by step, the foundation of what would later become Chinar Group was formed.
Over time, it became clear that transport alone was not enough. The same clients and partners needed support with tour programs and travel services, trained staff who understand tourism and hospitality, and more digital, scalable tools to manage trips and operations.
To answer these needs, the ecosystem started to grow: The transport operations were structured and developed under what is now known as iTransport. Chinar Academy was created to train drivers, guides, coordinators and service staff – and later expanded into broader tourism and service education. With technology becoming a central part of our vision, the idea for JoinAiTrip was born – an AI-powered travel platform connecting trips, content and bookings. To support digital storytelling and brand visibility, the AI travel persona and media brand Airen was introduced as the creative face of our ecosystem.
From 2016 to today, Chinar Group has grown from a single local transport business into a group of companies operating across transport, tourism, education and AI-driven media.
We are still rooted in the same principles we started with – reliability, hospitality and responsibility – but we now combine them with technology, innovation and a global outlook. Our journey is not finished; we see 2016–today as only the first chapter of a much bigger story.
